It seems Szayel is telling the truth, but it seems more likely to be a trap. His pride has taken multiple blows lately with four escapes from his domain in the past year, heavy casualties mostly on his side. I suspect illusions are being used, but to be safe, the 2nd Division stands ready to mobilize and move to verify the truth of the matter.

We cannot allow our hearts to overcome our heads. He's counting on us to do exactly that, and a fifth escape will surely not be allowed without heavy costs.

Oy, Sado. I hope your training session went well, we could use your help ferrying some of these souls back and forth. The zanpakutou problem isn't an issue for someone like you, so I would think you'd have little difficulty dealing with any rogue Hollows that might try to take a bite out of our future residents.

Though the 2nd has been busy with investigations, nonetheless we are not blind to the needs of our brothers and sisters in the Seireitei. Our zanpakutous no longer provide the powerful benefits they once did, but they are not useless, nor are we helpless. Do not forget this.

I'm not particularly proud of how my last fight turned out. But I'm not particularly surprised either. I've been away for too long, and I've become rusty.

I feel I must test myself against multiple opponents. I'm sure many of you aren't content to sit idly either, so don't be too surprised if I see you training alone and decide to join in~.

The matter of the zanpakutou is currently being investigated. I encourage those of you who had difficulties to speak with your sword's spirits. Report any unusual information at once to Captain Ukitake, Urahara, or myself. If anyone was not affected, this should also be reported immediately.

There's unrest within the Rukongai. The residents are prone to disgruntled murmurs, and the purchase of weaponry has increased significantly. I intend to investigate the matter personally, but I could use an extra pair of eyes. If one or two of you would be so kind as to volunteer your time?
